Foivos Zacharopoulos is a guitarist.
That’s probably the answer you’d get if you asked him. Not the most profound response and yet the only one that fully describes who and what he is.
Foivos is not a musician, though his musicality is undeniable and effortlessly manifests itself in every one of his songs. He is not a composer even though his compositions are meticulously planned out and worked on until they reach that perfect point where they flawlessly flow.
Foivos is a guitarist; that rare instance where chance, talent, desire and hard work came together creating an exceptional intellect capable of accomplishing amazing technical dexterity only to abandon it when it hinders genuine expression.

Son of a guitarist, at the age of 12 he found his first guitar in a closet at home and started playing.
In 2024, nearly 25 years later, he finally made the move everyone who had heard him play had been waiting for: release his first personal EP “Distorted”. Its packed presentation was savoured by the country’s musical elite while his first public performance alongside 3 of Greece’s top guitar players at the Guitar Experience, sold out.
At the moment he is working on a new release and planning the second Guitar Experience while fighting off job offers for session work…
For some people playing the guitar is a profession, a hobby, a passion. For Foivos, the guitar is who he is.
